Boast Capital is proud to sponsor the National Angel Summit to be held at The Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff from Wednesday, November 20th to Friday November 22.
Over the three days you will hear successful investors lend their perspectives about the emerging opportunities in different industries, learn how to make informed investment decisions, better understand the Canadian and Global Angel investing landscape, get updated on new trends such as crowdfunding, and more.
The speaker lineup includes industry heavyweights such as Paul Singh, Partner at 500 Startups and Founder at Dashboard.io, Shawn Abbott, Partner at iNovia Capital, Mike Edwards, Founder and CEO at LX Ventures, and Randy Williams, Founder and CEO at Keiretsu Forum to name a few.
“There is a shortage of angel investors in Canada who are willing to do tech deals,” said Mike Edwards, Founder and CEO at LX Ventures. “Mainly because we haven’t had the volume of tech exits. However, success motivates people to reinvest in the sector. We’ve seen some big wins recently like Rypple and Radian 6, and the trend is only looking upward. Plus more and more Canadian universities are focusing on entrepreneurship and producing some innovative startups. I would say it’s a great time to be an early stage entrepreneur and an early stage tech investor in Canada”.
Whether you’re a startup looking to network with potential investors, an angel in the making, or an experienced investor interested in staying on top of the latest trends and best practices in the industry, The National Angel Summit is an event you simply cannot miss.
